Beatriz Fedele is a contemporary artist. After a decade of working exclusive with pattern landscapes, in the past year
she begun producing work with more symbolic and figurative imagery. Beatriz likes to capture with her figures the familiar
moment isolated from a sense of time and place. With her landscapes, she likes to explore the bonds that connect us with the natural world on both an intimate and grand scale. With her paintings, she hopes the viewer to experience the familiar with new eyes. Fedele’s primary mode of expression is watercolor.
Originally from Spain, Beatriz Fedele has been living in the United states for the past 28 years, the last 14 of them residing and working in San Antonio, Texas. She has worked in education and since 2010 she focused her efforts on painting full time.
Fedele received her art training at the Southwest School of Art, where she earned a Certificate in Drawing, Painting and Printmaking in 2010, receiving a best in the department award in 2007 at the juried All School Exhibition. She currently teaches watercolors to adults as well as exhibits her work in various juried shows and solo/collaborative exhibitions.
Beatriz work has been shown at the Art SA gallery, The Southwest School of Art, The Guadalupe Cultural Center, The Louise Hopkins Center for the Arts in Lubbock, The Art Institute of San Antonio, Gallery North, at The Casa Mexicana in San Antonio, Rockport Center for the Arts, High Wire Gallery, Schreiner University, Art to the Power of 10 at the McNay, UT Health Science Center Department of Psychology just to name a few. Fedele is a member of the Gentileschi Aegis Gallery Association.
Her work has been individually collected throughout the United States, Mexico and Spain and can also be found in corporate collections including The Robert B. Green Medical Center.
